As a working adult in SIT's Applied Computing CSM pathway, I saw how university could become a cycle of classes, assignments and exams. I wanted students with jobs and other commitments to have more chances to connect beyond the timetable.
The committee gave me the chance to work with others toward that. I learned to set direction while leaving room for people to contribute, and that an idea only becomes useful when someone takes responsibility for making it happen. I also supported the SIT team at PyCon Singapore 2025, where I was reminded how much we learn by stepping beyond formal lessons and working with others.
